Gastroenterology & Hepatology Research (GHR) is a peer-reviewed, Open Access journal dedicated to advancing research in gastroenterology and hepatology. The journal publishes studies on clinical efficacy, mechanisms of action, and theoretical investigations, covering diagnostic, endoscopic, interventional, and therapeutic innovations in cancer, inflammatory diseases, functional gastrointestinal disorders, nutrition, absorption, and secretion.
In addition, GHR places a particular emphasis on integrative approaches that combine traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine. The journal encourages submissions exploring the synergistic use of herbal medicine, acupuncture, and other traditional therapies alongside modern biomedical techniques, as well as studies elucidating their mechanisms, clinical effectiveness, and translational potential in gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
GHR welcomes original research articles, reviews, editorials, and letters addressing topics such as the alimentary and biliary tracts, gallbladder, liver diseases, hepatitis, hepatocellular carcinoma, peptic ulcers, portal disorders, transplant hepatology, advanced endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, and integrative therapeutic strategies in digestive and hepatic disorders.
