This Commemorative Special Issue gathers research manuscripts and reviews on genetics and bioinformatics from the 14th International Conference on Bioinformatics of Genome Regulation and Structure/Systems Biology (BGRS/SB-2024, https://bgrssb.icgbio.ru/2024/) in Novosibirsk, Russia.


The Special Issue focuses on the regulation of gene expression at the transcriptional level, aiming to present new trends in animal genetics through next-generation sequencing technologies for neurobiology mechanisms understanding.

In the research perspectives section, we concentrate on bioinformatics and systems biology methods for genomics and biotechnology challenges. Key topics include molecular mechanisms of gene expression regulation, transcription regulation, and network interactions.


The Special Issue is interested in the following topics:

· Invited reviews on the foundation of bioinformatics schools;
· Gene expression regulation analysis;
· Bioinformatics applications in omics technologies;
· Gene and associative networks analysis;
· Protein structure and biophysical models;
· Interdisciplinary computational genomics in model organisms—animals,
  bacteria;
· Systems biology and Machine Learning approaches to gene expression
  analysis.


We encourage novel research submissions that broaden the discussion beyond the scope of the BGRS conference series.
